AUPSA: Panamanian Food Safety Authority

Related products: Food, beverages, dietary supplements, vitamins.

Requirements: Commercial invoice, copy of ID card or passport.

Cost: 3.00 USD to 5.00 USD per notification or description.

Limits: Up to 3 kilos of supplements or 5 kilos of food, 3 times a year.

MINSA: Ministry of Health (Pharmacy and Drug Department)

Related products: Medicines, cosmetics, perfumes, creams, shampoo.

Requirements: Commercial invoice, copy of ID card or passport, medical prescription.

Cost: 8.00 USD to 15.00 USD per notification or description.

Limits: Up to 3 items per month.

BOMBERO: Fire Department

Related products: Aerosols, oil, paints, petroleum derivatives.

Requirements: Commercial invoice, copy of ID card or passport.

Cost: 10.00 USD to 15.00 USD per notification or description.

Limits: Up to 3 items per month.

MIDA: Ministry of Agricultural Development (Quarantine Department)

Related products: Animals, wood, fabrics, books, paper, cardboard.

Requirements: Commercial invoice, copy of ID card or passport, sanitary registration.

Cost: 10.00 USD to 15.00 USD per notification or description.

Limits: Up to 3 items per month.

GORGAS

Related products: Reagents, tests, laboratories.

Requirements: Commercial invoice, copy of ID card or passport, authorization letter.

Cost: 25.00 USD per notification or description.

Hazardous Cargo (HAZMAT)

Cargo containing explosives, flammables, etc.

Requirements: Commercial invoice and product data sheet.

Cost: 20.00 USD by air and 100.00 USD by sea, plus a dangerous goods declaration.

Restricted Cargo

Cargo restricted for import and export.

Related products: Ammunition, weapons, weapon parts, phosphates, primers, venoms, poisons, money, explosives, infrared telescopic sights, fireworks, gunpowder, drugs, electronic cigarettes, controlled medicine, dietary supplements containing Dimethylamylamine (DMAA), cannabis, counterfeit goods, acetone, etc.
